Segments when following a course

I have an activity set up with Segment Alerts on.

Yesterday I navigated using a course and I noticed that I did not receive Segment Notifications.

Surely one should still receive these when using a course?

Same if you follow a training plan or daily suggested training.

Bit silly really considering it is easy enough to set up alternative activities with no segment alerts - that is what I do if I want a peaceful run so to say - so why not work with a course . For example I want to map a course that hits a number of segments , but that won’t work .
