Call notification timeout short/medium/long - short is much longer than used to be

Hello,

I have notifications for calls set to vibration only, and timeout: short

it used to work perfectly for my needs before 14.12. It used to vibrate just once so that I could see I had a call coming in and then leave me alone without the need to reject the call. I assume that medium or long would simply go longer than that

14.12 broke that as we know and there were no more vibration notifications for incoming calls. 14.13 brought that back but now even with timeout set to short, the vibration just keeps going. If I enable the tone, that works as expected and it bips only once but vibration keeps going

is this the desired behaviour? (am I makint it up that it used to vibrate only once with the short timeout?)

Also regarding the tone, it bips only once, regardless of short/medium/long timeout. That doesn't sound right either

14.15 is out now (I don't have it yet) but it doesn't mention anything about this

thank you

Marco

  • Hi,
I have had a similar issue since version 14.13. Watch during the call will not vibrate unless I push START/STOP or move the hand (GESTURE) so I don't even know that someone is calling. Turning off the privacy setting makes the watch vibrate from the beginning. Is this to be expected behavior if yes what is the point of privacy setting?

    Best regards

  • I now saw multiple other posts of users asking to vibrate indefinitely until the call is answered.

This is actually how my watch is behaving now. I personally prefer two vibrations to get my attention and then quiet if I decide not to answer

my issue/question is: the timeout setting seems to have no impact. I would have hoped that short was the 2 vibrations, medium say 5 or 10, and long indefinitely. Instead it does not have any effect?

    is the timeout feature broken?

    Thank you
