Green light blinking while on activity with external HR Strap

Hello,

I am using External HR Strap for my activites and I've noticed that when I am on activity, it says External HR Sensor is connected, but I can see that the green light is blinking all the time. I thought that the wrist sensor should turn off when strap is connected? What is, if not HR, being measured then ? As far as I know, for HR, the sensor should stay green lit(not blinking), but anyway, I am using External HR sensor.

Yes, noted this and I'm sure that before 14.13 the green light was off when using HR strap. In fact starting my last run I stopped it when seeing green light on because I was thinking that my HR strap was not connected.....

Have to check this, think I noticed something like this but then it turned off once actually starting the activity? Will check this evening when at home if I can reproduce...

If you have GarminPay enabled, these leds will keep lighting because watch is checking this way are you wearing it constantly.

Had a look now and I see the same. I didn't take notice before though so I cannot say with confidence either way.

Same problem. Moreover that problem was solved on 12.XX 13.XX and returned now again.

In the Fenix7 line at least the user can set power profiles. So it can set a profile with optical HR off for that activity.

I haven't tested yet but if the 955 got that bug it will require manually disabling the optical sensor if user wants to save battery while using HRM strap.

i with 14.13 and the green light goes off when i connect the external band
