Update problems - after firmware update heart rate and other issues

Had none of those issues myself that I can recall, had the watch since release across many FW versions without too many hassles.Mainly running and the odd indoor swim activity and wear it all day. I dont look at steps closely though so not sure on that. I also use a HRM-POR for activities as an OHR is never accurate enough for me.

Im using 14.12 Beta now and its quite stable , just a few small issues that have easy workarounds.  Nice updated to the widgets and graphs also.

how do you get 14.12 beta?

Logon to the connect web app and select your device (top right of screen)

Then a screen should open with your device and an option to join the Beta Software Program.

Connect your device to Garmin Express on the computer (best way, or you can wait to get the updated via the GC app which can take time)

You will see reference on some page about alpha and Beta processes at this stage the 955 is only on the older type beta process and not the Alpha/Beta process like the Fenix and Epix etc as of now.

I am not sure if you do this at all , but it also seems to address some minor issues at times and you dont loose your HRV etc.

Hold in the light button until the watch powers down by itself (i.e. do not select the power off in the control wheel). Then after say 20s , restart the watch.

May suggest also doing this after each FW update also.
