Forerunner 955 vs Fenix 7S for running and MTB

Hi there,

can someone please let me know whether Fenix 7S has any extra feature in comparison to Forerunner 955 for trail running and mountain biking which I might miss on 955?

I think 955 has a better GPS to start with and better battery too. Its a bit lighter though larger in size. Overall its a better product than 7S , but read the forums as folks have all sorts of issues , though mine has been good enough to live with issues.

The Fenix is higher quality and comes in the S which is smaller (though it might still be heavier than the Forerunner). Overall I like my Forerunner a lot, but if I was buying again I’d probably do the Fenix just since it’s clearly more polished, and while it doesn’t have any extra big features, at least according to others in this forum (and a friend) it has quite a few little features, notably usability improvements. But to get multi-band GPS and be on par you have to spring for the Sapphire edition, so it’s spendy.
