The indoor pool bad calculated

Indoor pool incorrectly calculated. The length of the pool is set to 50 m. Auto rest off. After each length, I stop and start with the lap button.Despite everything, one length is recorded as 50 meters, another as 100 meters, etc. At the end of the activity, which had 20 laps and 1000 meters, something completely different is recorded.

  • Never had any issue. It is measuring a wrong distance only in case you are changing styles within one length or if you have really bad swimming style.

  • I agree, since november made 2 trainings every week, 100 pools each, zero problems except one time where I made a strange movement during one pool and it missed 25m

  • I don't think there's anything wrong with that. We swim at the same time with a friend who has a fenix 6, the same style and he is fine with it.

  • Why do you press “lap” each length?

It’s only necessary if you rest every 50m.

If you don’t need to rest at this frequency, try a short 100m or 200m pressing lap only at the end of this interval.
Not sure why the watch is losing count, but it only counts laps and calculates the swim distance by multiplication.

  • Anyway, pool swimming is terribly sensitive to swimming style. It's enough when two people are swimming in a lane and you only need to dodge a little bit, the next lap is chosen. For such cases, they could put a pool lap function where I mark my lap and it won't count automatically
