On what basis is the heart rate selected in the suggested workouts?
My HRmax is 195, LT HR is 174. The Garmin base proposes 145 and temporun 165. Why such values?
Well, base is 75% and tempo 85% maxHR. Makes sense I guess
A threshhold run would be right at your threshhold, thus at 174 bpm
That seems pretty reasonable for HR zones based on LTHR. 145 is like high Z1/low Z2 effort (base) and 165 is high Z3/low Z4 (>30 min tempo run).
So it's a stimulus subthreshold, not threshold?
