Udate

i bought a new F955 and I can't install new software from the phone. Connect and the watch claims that the soft is up to date. Please help.

What version of FW is on the watch?

Do you computer available?

Version 11.12. I have limited access to my computer. I would prefer to use the phone, but if there is no other option, I will try Garmin Express.

The watch only checks for updates once every day.

When downloading over Bluetooth via the phone the update files are transferred very slowly.

If you can force the watch to sync over WiFi it may speed things up.

So connect via wi-fi and leave it like that for most of the day?

You can connect it to your wifi. It will only use it when needed.

Then force a sync by pressing the Light button (top left) and selecting the sync option. When that starts, swipe up on the screen or press the Down button (bottom left) to switch from Bluetooth sync to Wifi sync.

Wait a few minutes, then look in the Software Update section of the Settings menu. There may be an option to install the software update.

If this doesn't work, using Garmin Express with your PC might be what is needed.

I use the computer for the updates as it’s faster . You can use WiFi as noted by others also

Please connect to a laptop.

It will be way faster.
