Forerunner 955 + HRM-PRO Plus - connection dropping after few seconds.

Hi everyone.

I have faced with some issues using Garmin 955 with HRM-PRO plus. To be honest I couldn't use it even once.
Few weeks ago I bought FR 955 and start using built-in HR sensor reading data from. I saw that read HR is not always accurate during running or riding a bike. So I decided to buy HRM-plus. I paired it with my Garmin FR 955 and it doesn't work. It is dropping connection adter few second. When i go to connection menu where all sensors are the strip is reconnecting quickly and it is working for few seconds. Weird thing and really annoying I think to return it as my older strip HRM-Dual that I' using biking works ok with FR 955. Any idea or solution?
HRM-Pro plus firmware is the newest 8.80
FR 955 firmware is 13.22

Sorry, little update, the same happens with HRM-DUAL, also dropping connection after few second so I'm sure it is the matter of Watch and not HRM.

Looks like a watch issue.

I would do a factory reset once before claiming for warranty.

Unless you want to wait for a new FW fix which I think is unlikely the issue.

I have the same HRM and I have no issues. I am on the same FW versions on both watch and HRM.

Try a long reset , if possible also whilst unit is connected to Garmin Express via cable.

Hold in power button until the watch powers off completely. Then wait say 15 -20 s and then restart the watch. There are numerous reports that this type of restart assists in sorting some issues - without loosing our weeks of HRV data!

I would also disconnect the HRM from the watch beforehand and reconnect it afterwards.

Suggestion: if you can force an ANT+ connection to the sensor in preference to a Bluetooth connection, do.

it is, I have setup ANT+ as recommended and it is still disconnecting after few seconds. The funny thing I discovered when you are in the Connection menu with sensors etc. it is not dropping connection but once you go out few seconds later no connection ;).

The connection is only kept open when it's needed, to save power.

Some sensors (eg. Tempe) broadcast their data once every minute or so, whether or not anything is "listening".

Sure but I have strip on me so I need connection all the time ;).
