incorrect sleep measurement and training readiness

My watch is registering sleep when I'm still awake and watching the TV. In the morning it calculates my sleep with a low score, because I've been awake for a long time. this also reflects on the training readiness. when I correct the sleep, setting the start time to the real time when I went to bed, my sleep score is recalculated to a much higher score, however the training readiness isn't recalculated.

How can I make the training readiness recalculated?

kind regards,

Joris

  • It comes down to this: sleep score is total BS on any watch. Even the most 'accurate' watch (an Applewatch) is only 80% accurate. Garmins are far less accurate. (if gps or heartrate or time would be this off we would return the device and claim our money back)

Training readyness and body body battery is for a part based on sleepscore, so it is part based on BS.

So, why recalculate something is is wrong now and will be wrong after recalculation?

  • There’s a place to set your usual bedtime/waketime. It’s not a panacea, but I got much improved results when I set those to when I actually fall asleep/wakeup, versus when I hope to do so. I also make sure to interact with my watch as one of the last things before going to bed, so that it “knows” I’m still awake. FWIW when I’ve adjusted my sleep times for recalculation, it sure seemed liked training readiness (eventually) got recalculated. Remember that the TR score on the app only shows up as a one-time sync each morning, but the glance on the watch continually updates.
