psihoni: your case looks like setting "backlight at gesture off". press up button long, go to settings, go to system, go to backlight, go to general use, set gesture to "On". I have a dutch version, so the menu names can be different to my translation.

@adc_ You might find some settings there, which solves your problem also. But I guess you already found those settings
