Manual Activities Not Showing Up in Weekly Mileage Total

Title says it all. I have a Garmin Forerunner 245 Music and when I add a manual activity, the weekly mileage total (on the watch) does not reflect this addition.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

That's how it works - the watch shows only the distance it recorded. Manual entries are in Garmin Connect only.

  • Yes but with respect to other information there is a two-way conversation (e.g., you can load workouts designed in GC onto your watch). You are telling me the watch is incapable of accepting a data field from GC and displaying it? That’s really disappointing if true not least because the Garmin has a horrible time logging treadmill miles/pace, so of course I want to manually enter those workouts (and still have a data field on the watch face return my combined total mileage for the week).

No, I did not tell that. I am telling the watch shows only the distance recorded on it, since it is the way Garmin designed it.

As for the treadmill - you can calibrate the distance after the run directly on the watch, and in that case the watch will show the right distance: How Does the Treadmill Calibration Feature Work on My Garmin Watch? | Garmin Customer Support

Otherwise you can review manually entered activities in Garmin Connect. If you want them on your watch, you'll have to suggest the feature to Garmin, and hope they implement it: Share Ideas | Garmin

Did not know this. Thank you. This is very helpful.
