While using the Indoor Climbing Activity it appears that Garmin has added some additional "route" fields that include ascent. This Ascent field is correct under the routes and the total ascent shows correct in the activity summary but its incorrect under the Elevation portion of the Activity (its significantly higher and incorrect). Its also incorrect in the .fit file and when I sync to Strava it shows the incorrect number instead of the correct one. It creates "laps" in the .fit file that are also incorrect and really high.
Anyone else use indoor climbing can test this. Here is a screen grab of the behavior that makes it really obvious its happening. Its been this way on multiple firmware versions. The correct number at 331 is top right and incorrect number is 2644. I hoped on a chat with support but it was taking forever just to get through the basic questions so figured I'd ask if others have the same behavior. I'm firmware 13.21 but saw this on 12.27 as well.
BTW if you indoor climb and haven't used that activity type for the most part it works really well, you can set the difficulty, it auto detects when you drop pretty well.
