Any showstopper issues with 955? Safe to buy? Big disappointments after the first months?

Any big issues with 955 that should prevent me from buying it? I saw some issues with BT and lines on screen, but this seems to be fixed. I' m not happy with GPS of F6 and display of F7 Sapphire is not working for me with the glare and low contrast.

What are be the big pro's of a Fenix 7 compared to a 955 other than Titan case, Sapphire (not for me anyway)? Will the 955 get update for the same time or is this much shorter for the Forerunner series?

after 935 and 945 the 955 is a disappointment to me. Worst software bugs and battery drain I have seen from Garmin.

I had stayed on firmware 10.10 - until 13.21 looked like it had fixed most issues. There's still a few silly bugs, such as zooming out on the map suddenly jumps to a location somewhere in the ocean miles…

after 935 and 945 the 955 is a disappointment to me. Worst software bugs and battery drain I have seen from Garmin.

Weird, until the latest update(s) I had the same feeling but now it's actually pretty much all as I'd expect it to be. But yeah, that means since a month max while I have the watch for almost half a year now.

Hi! Is it so important to also delete and reinstall the Garmin connect application from my smartphone? I have only long turned off the 955 and de-associated and re-associated the device to Garmin connect.

Hi, I think so as it clears the cache on the shine (I guess) also. Effectively sets it all up from scratch . You dont loose data like this as the data is on the connect web / watch. It definitely sorted by BT connection issues a while ago.

955 has been a big disappointment and stress source for me, coming from a Fenix7 standard (was stolen). The worst is the 955 GPS malfunction I show on the other topic. My registered routes in outdoor activities other than running are a mess.

Other than that, FW 13.21 is mostly working more like it's supposed to, but still the Forerunner line has a lot of missing features compared to the Fenix line.

On the other hand, Fenix line has no option of multi band without the solar and sapphire reflective gimmicks. So Garmin lineup is actually a big mess of expensive and incomplete products.

my experience mirrors SMR and Flipstone's. 13.21 finally makes the watch what i thought it would be when i bought mine in June. i don't have any battery drain or GPS issues. i really don't have anything on my wishlist either except for Garmin to: 1. implement the more "elegant" touch interface of the Fenix7 (double tap to Zoom), 2. implement a more useful solar widget like the Fenix7.

other than these two, i'm very pleased with my watch coming from a 945LTE and 935 before that.
