Swapping a training suggestion

Hello everyone

I am using the daily raning suggestions for an event that I put in my Garmin.

Suppose today is Thursday and due to my availability I prefer to do the workout that the watch suggested on Friday. What happens if I anticipate Friday's training and ignore Thursday's?

  • It doesn't schedule the workouts so you can't defer them. If you don't do the Thursday run it might or might not change the original Friday workout to the Thursday one based one external factors (sleep, stress etc..) but I wouldn't count on it. Maybe try save the Thursday as a workout and schedule it. Btw you get some kind of control by choosing which days are your long runs. 

  • The schedule updates overnight so if you skip the suggested workout on Thursday then the Friday workout will likely change to adapt to your training load. 

    It’s not that hard to rebuild the suggested workouts in Connect if you want to do the suggested workout but on a different day or if you want to adjust the workout parameters slightly (e.g. make the warmup and cool down sections manual instead of timed).
