Fluctuating run power at beginning of run (v13.21 and v13.15)

I updated to Beta 13.15 when it came out, and then my watch updated to 13.21 when it was available. This intermittent problem has occurred with both versions. I have never seen this happen with any other previous firmware.

I have done 5 runs with v13.15 and the problem occurred in 2 of them.

I have done 4 runs with v13.21 and the problem has occurred in 2 of them.

It has occurred with my HRM Pro and my HRM Pro + (both which are version 8.8). I always pre-wet my HRM straps and I ensure they are paired before I start my run.

In the first few minutes of the run, the power fluctuates wildly. Also during this time, none of the run dynamics are recorded (stride length, vertical ration, vertical osc, GTC, GCB)

Once the power has stabilized, the the run dynamics start recording.

  • There was a similar situation. The extended running dynamics and power from HRM Pro disappeared periodically. There was no clear pattern from the level of wetting or intensity of the lesson. Battery status - approx.
Cold weather and dry skin require a special approach to obtain reliable contact, it may be worth looking towards the use of sports or medical gels. I eventually changed the battery, the cr2032 voltage was at 02.85 V. The new battery has 03.15 Volt. So far, I have not observed any failures in the HRM Pro heart rate monitor.

  • if you also notice the heart rate is not detected correctly in the first few minutes and what you see is detected by the wrist. you need to moisten the band better
