Discharge rate

What discharge rates are people seeing when using All Systems + Multiband

To get a 20 hour battery life I would expect to see 5%, but I am seeing min 5% and up to 8% (using a chest strap too)

(Using battery field info by FlipStone to determine)

  • You can add the App to the watch (Device App = Battery Monitor) , you can then get a glance

If you loaded the Data field (Battery Info Field) to your activity screens , it will record the information in the .FIT file and it appears in GC

    Both by FlipStone

  • Thanks.  I realized i actually didn't have the correct app installed.  I had the Battery DataField app installed rather than Battery Monitor, so i uninstalled that and installed Battery Monitor.  Just put Battery Monitor in and i added a glance.  There's no data yet in the glance, presumably because my battery level has not yet changed at all.

So if i let it run for half a day and my battery level changes by 3% or more (i left the default setting), should i then see some data in Garmin Connect after i sync?

  • As far as I know , no.  You only get data in GC from the .FIT files related to an activity.

Install the data field (Battery Info Field) from GCIQ app and add the field  your activity screens. Then you can see it during an activity , it records with it and displays with the activity detail on the app and website.

  • Regarding the Battery Monitor: you should see this:

If you touch it you get this:

And if you press the start you get this where you can reset it and set a marker at a specific time also.
