Treadmill Issue -Forerunner 955 Walked 6.5 Kilometers, Watch recorded 1.06K. Caliberation Allowing an increase only to 2 Km

Hi, I have bought the Forerunner 955 recently. There seems to be a problem with the Treadmill Distance measurement. I walked for about 6-6.5 Kilometers, but the distance on the watch was only 1.06K. The caliberation also was allowing an increase only to 2 Km, not more than that. At this rate the product is useless for me on a treadmill. Do help. Thanks

  • Have you done any activities outdoor using the gos ? Normally it builds up a history from outdoor activities ( I believe) .

I have been using mine since I bout it three months ago with reasonable accuracy .

  • I have the 955 and have found no issues with the distance walking on treadmill.  Do you walk with very minimal arm swing or do you have your hands on the hand rail for long periods ?. Garmin uses arm swing to determine strides and therefor distance. Also it is worth noting that most peoples stride length will very depending on the Incline. Garmin has no way of knowing what incline the machine is set to. Most of my walks I average about 6% incline and have the watch calibrated to this. The watch distance varies up to +/- 10% compared to the treadmill depending on actual incline being sometimes more or less than 6%. Hope this helps
