Garmin 955 drops HRM-Pro Connectivity and loses Running Dynamics Data

I’ve done all this . . . The amount of turning off/on disconnect. Reconnect.  On and on - futzing.

its 20 minutes before I get power to work. 

I saw the new white hrm run plus that was on sale for like $100 and just did it.  I’m not In the mood to do a full watch reset.

It is a cheaper solution to do a full reset than buying a new plus.

Yes I would urge to make a warranty replacement.

Send the faulty watches back to Garmin. If Garmin doesn't receive these faulty watches, they won't know the problem and push for a fix.

Hopefully the replacement watch can work with the HRM because I know some others have no such connection issue.

Everything was working fine until the update with native power.

it was only then that the hrm run was intermittently working with RD/Power.

there’s an option to choose running power as accessory only wrist or automatic (some form of options like that)

the last time i used the watch and the hrm run I turned it to automatic - got it going on the wrist, then switched to accessory only.

this is a software issue and only with the hrm run. The new fancy one I just bought works all the time perfectly. Garmin doesn’t care about a 5 year old HrM working with their latest watch

For the case of OP, he is seeing connection issues across multiple straps.

The thing is if you want to rely on a FW fix, it is going to take a very long time.

Replacing the watch could be a faster solution just to eliminate any potential HW issue. 

I emailed them. We will see what they say.

Also did you try to connect to other watches?

Yes I did. It works ok with other devices.
