Garmin 955 drops HRM-Pro Connectivity and loses Running Dynamics Data

I have seen other Forum comments on this with indications that recent software updates were supposed to solve it, but I am continuing to have dropout issues while connecting my 12.27 software with a HRM-Pro chest strap --- this has occurred across multiple HRM-Pro chest straps, most recently with a like new HRM-Pro Plus.

Has anyone found a solution for this following the recent software updates?

I have the same HRM and I have no issues. I am on the same FW version on both watch and 8.80 on HRM. Apart form two activities in the past 6 months it has been ok.

I saw the same thing today, where 4 minutes into a running activity the heart rate sharply drops and takes two minutes to recover. Running dynamics are not recorded after that point. This was on FW 13.15 with an HRM-Pro Plus and Sennheiser Momentum TW3 earphones connected, music playing in the background.

Yep - this is getting ridiculous. Power stopped working - can barely get it to work half the time with my hrm-run.

I've been in this problem a long time. We need to open a bug report. Garmin claims that this problem is punctual, but see in the fenix line forum, many users reporting this. Garmin-Kevin

Try a long reset , if possible also whilst unit is connected to Garmin Express via cable.

Hold in power button until the watch powers off completely. Then wait say 15 -20 s and then restart the watch. There are numerous reports that this type of restart assists in sorting some issues - without loosing our weeks of HRV data!

I would also disconnect the HRM from the watch beforehand and reconnect it afterwards.
