When is a new beta coming out?

This heart rate problem is critical. It's breaking all other metrics. These days in a race my frequency was 210BPM, I think I was dying, lol.

  • What's the change log?

  • It isn't out yet but I did a quick test of the navigation to a point on the map (it used to reboot if the list had more than one entry). That seems to be fixed.

  • It's out! forums.garmin.com/.../public-beta-version-13-15

This update, version 13.15, is a Release Candidate. "Release Candidate" means that this exact software version is planned to “Go Live” as a public update as long as no critical issues are observed. All copies of version 13.15 will be identical, so there are no differences in functionality whether you install version 13.15 as a Public Release Candidate or wait for the update to be a Live public update.

As a member of the Public Beta program, this update will be automatically delivered to your watch through GCM. Please note that GCM will check for an available update once every 24 hours, and after that it may take several hours for the update to finish transferring and be available on your watch to install.

    Change Log

    • Adds running power data to activities without the need for a running dynamics accessory.
    • Adds the Grade Adjusted Pace data field that displays your average pace adjusted by the steepness of the terrain.
    • Adds the Auto Rest/Pause setting to the Ultra Run activity, which automatically creates a rest interval or pauses the activity.
    • Adds the backcountry snowboard activity to the list of available activities.
    • Adds the disc golf activity to the list of available activities.
    • When an incident is detected by your watch, a message appears on your watch and phone, and an automated message is sent to your emergency contacts. You can cancel the message from either device.
    • Fixes an issue where a horizontal dashed line could appear on training pages during an activity.
    • Improves the syncing of settings between the device and Garmin Connect Mobile.
    • Improves pairing with a phone to simplify the user input required.
    • Updates data fields offered for the ultra and track run activity profiles.
    • Fixes an issue where track run calibration information could fail to save.
    • Improves interval workouts to include a cool down step after the last interval step is completed.
    • Improves user interaction with the map page.
    • Improves treadmill pace accuracy.
    • Improves graph layouts and labeling.
    • Fixes various other minor issues.
    • Updates translations.

  • 13.15 in here too...

First impressions, feels smoother. Response is fast and smooth.

Navigate using location on map is fixed! Finally!

Also, zoom in and out seems working ok now using touch (before zooming out was very finicky).

Graphs have been tweaked a bit (colors and axis scaling is indeed fixed)

Saw the firstbeat sw is updated too:

    ETE: 6.14.6.7 -> 6.14.8.3

    LHA: 2.1.2.5 -> 2.1.4.3

Might give the OHR a new try as well as that has been updated too, but going for a run before thursday..

    First impressions are good though

  • Thanks for the feedback!

  • Did they fix the heart rate with a strap?

  • Just loading the beta now. I haven't have an issue with my HRM-PRO Plus to date on 12.27.

  • Release notes there now on the beta forum, seen he to deliver a lot.

  • Haven't had any issues with a hr strap myself so can't comment on that (polar oh1+ here)

  • this is pretty exciting. bummer i'm not running until Thursday. i do see on the other thread that another fix is that the GPS logging during hotkey use is supposed to be now working again. if so, that is a huge fix that i've been missing for over a year (since the 945LTE).
