Garmin 955 showing wrong distance

Hmmm, the lap shows 4.84 and 5 but total shows 12.84 and 12.76?

Can you share the activities (garmin connect link)? Hard to see/say what's going on here...

I meant the actual distance is 12kms. But it calculated only 4 while going and 5 while return.

I manually edited the distance to set it 12 later

Can you upload the original (not your edited version) GPX tracks to program like Strava or some other GPX readers (there are few on the Web) and report the distance shown in these programs?

Oh ok, still impossible to say anything without the actual activities or data though...

There seem to be issues with 3d-distance( or whatever it's called) so you can check that setting to see if it matters

This is an app called Relive. I deleted the entry from my strava.

This app does not have an option to share activities as a link.

Still not useful... We're talking about the activity from garmin connect itself (you can also export to the original format from there, .fit for example but also gpx).

The activity is most likely still on the watch itself as well (it usually cleans up the oldest ones first and only when space is becoming an issue or after a certain (long) time).

 I started tracking on strava after realising that the distance shown is wrong. I started only strava only after 18 kms into the ride 

In actuality the distance shown on my garmin should be 125-130 kms once I am done with the ride today

Even if the distance tracked is in miles the calculations are all wrong. 

How can I extract the.fit file? 

0.Connect watch to pc via usb cable

1. Click This PC. (Windows 10 only)

2. Locate and open the Garmin device drive.

3. If listed open the Primary drive.

4. Open the Garmin folder.

5. Open the Activity folder.

6. Locate the file you wish to manually upload. Activity (FIT) files will typically be titled in the following format:

year-month-day-hour-minute-second.fit
