Airpods Pro 2nd Gen with 955

Hi all,

Just got the Airpods Pro 2nd generation, paired and the music will play fine and then one airpod will go out while the other is still playing. When I single click the right airpod to Pause the music, I can see the music pause on the watch, when I resume the music the audio completely stops but the music continues on the watch and I can continue to Pause and Play the music with no sound.

I've tried repairing the Airpods, made sure the 1st pair i had on the watch were removed, firmware appears to be updated on all devices...

The 1st generation of Airpods worked fine and I had no issue with them, anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah I'm seeing the same thing with 945 LTE and the 2nd gen AirPods Pro. Seems to happen only during GPS activities, but I'm not 100% sure. Basically the sound cuts out completely on both earbuds but the watch's UI still acts like music is playing. The watch also responds to playback controls from the AirPods (play/pause, skip back/forwards) exactly as you'd expect, except that there's no sound.

Sometimes I'm able to fix this by disconnecting and reconnecting to the AirPods from the watch's headphones menu, but not always.

I don't have this problem with Beats Fit Pro earbuds, which are supposed to be pretty similar to 1st gen AirPods Pro (e.g. same H1 chip).

I’ve been having similar issues w/ my 945 and gen2 pros - one AirPod cuts out but playback features still function. I’ve experienced the issue while using GPS and without. Garmin needs to look into this.

Seeing the same thing with my 945 LTE. Very disappointing after having used it and other Garmin watches with the first gen Pros for years.

I've found that I can temporarily fix the issue by pausing for about 10 seconds and then unpausing but obviously, that's not a long-term solution. For now, I'm just using a cheap pair of Jabra Elite 3s with it and they work flawlessly.
