WIFI VIA MOBILE?

Does the mobile's hotspot qualify as WIFI via which the watch could download the queued maps?

The watch disconnects prematurely when it establishes a connection via a mobile! It seems Garmin didn't account for downloading maps over Hotspot wifis!!!!

Which device is closing the WiFi connection? The watch or the mobile? Also, which frequency range (2.4 or 5ghz) is the hotspot using?

The watch obviously since it syncs data and that's it! It doesn't download anything so it disconnects/closes the connection

It might not be the hotspot. Others have reported problems downloading maps over WiFi. It may help to connect the watch to a charger when you attempt the download.

Done that already, didnt work!
