HRV Falling and constant 1 Training Readiness

My HRV tend is falling all the time and Training Readiness is Strained and 1 for a while now.

There seems to be no reason for this in my training load or other life items.

I notice a thread on the 255 Forum for this.

https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-255-series/310468/hrv-status-anyone-seeing-a-downward-spiral#pifragment-1279=2

I'm on 12.27b

Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Could it be a valid one?

I am not very fit either, shift worker and I just recovered from a flu so I understand my trend.

Maybe someone who is fit in the >100 ms range can share their experience. Slight smile

  • I noticed the same problem with HRV from the first day I bought the 955, I have been testing this watch for 11.12 for three weeks now, and I compare HRV with POLAR Vantage V, in the first week there was always a low HRV compared to POLAR, there were also problems with measuring the pulse on the wrist, it rose and fell much slower in comparison with POLAR and a heart rate sensor connected to the phone for the best comparison, the pulse hung on the same range, for example 80-85, while in fact it was already below 60, or vice versa, it could not rise, fluctuating in the range 55-58, while on the watch and on the plsometer it was already 80-90, but it was worth just opening the training screen with HR without starting the training, as the pulse began to compare with the clock and the heart rate monitor and in this mode reacted more adequately to HR changes.  then I installed a new watch face from the store and the pulse became more stable, and from that day only once in the next two weeks I faced the problem of low HRV compared to the POLAR watch. Before that, I used only the built-in dials.  I'm sorry for the English, I use a translator. maybe it will help someone, sign up. Dial Data Lover

  • Ok mine looks like this now. Kind of started oct 9 for me, but def noticed it since oct 24 because I've cut down physical activity, have more energy, and my graph looks just like yours except the dates shifted +2 weeks. I've been on the newest beta fw's when released and I'm on 13.15 now.

  • Did your HRV ever correct itself? My HRV has dropped significantly in the last month since I Increased Ssri meds.
