My Forerunner 955 isn't auto syncing with the Garmin Connect app after activity. (Start happening after 12,23 update)

Before the last update (12,23) my Forerunner 955 synched automatically after finishing an activity, now I have to sync manually from the app and it takes about 30 seconds to sync the activity data. I have reset the watch, the Bluetooth and reinstalled the app, but nothing works.

  • Try restarting the watch, and try sync over Wi-Fi again.

    This works for me. Not sure what else to tell you.

  • I just started having the same issue with 13.32 and Android. I think I have fixed it by doing the following, but I'm not sure which exact step solved it.

    1. In Garmin Connect, select your watch.

    2. Open "Connectivity."

    3. In "Wi-Fi," toggle both sliders off and on. I also re-entered the password to the network I was on.

    4. In "Phone," toggle "Status" to off. This will cause the app to stop responding. Force close the app and reopen it.

    5. Using the watch, reconnect to the phone.

    This seems to have worked for me and I hope it works for you as well.
