Don't trust to much in your watch. What happens during a race is not an algorithm, it's a mix of things(heart, mind, muscles...). If my coach says my race time will be 1:40, if I race in 1:38 I don't think…

I think the point is that after running faster than the prediction, we would expect that prediction to update to your fastest time at a minimum. I have the same problem with 5K and 10K predictions. I consistently run faster than the predicitons in practice and they do not move. This has been since getting the 955. Fenix 6 predictions were a bit closer to me.

Everyone knows that getting a number on your chest and running together with other, changes your capabilities mostly in a positive way + a lot of other things can change your result (Like weather, sleep socre and energy intake just to mention three)
The Race prediction is a formula and based upon your VO2Max - The details are,I guess a trade secret.
I know that a few things are not good with this watch, but this so is far out!
