Lactate threshold update

I know I need to be wearing an external hr for the guided lactate test. However, will the auto detection of lactate hr still trigger with the wrist hr on the watch?

I set my own LTHR after a lab test, but now can't seem to cancel that and trigger an update detection in the watch...

afaik it only works with external hr

On the app

Select device > user profile > heart rate and power zones > Auto Detection

You can toggle it off there

Shouldn't there be an option to accept new Max HR and new LTHR ?

I remember 945 gives the option to accept and save.

Thanks for the replies.. But do I need to be using an external hr for the auto detection to work, or will it trigger with the inbuilt hr?

Needs to be done with a Garmin hrm. My cheap non Garmin one always caused it to fail.

Mine did an update to lactate threshold today , Yes I use HRM-PRO+
