"Up Ahead" activated but not shown while navigating ?

Try going in a race: chose run or bike or an activity (do not start it) press up to see the activity menu select Training then choose Race an activity then select Downloaded select your couse and start the activity (it should work now)

Thanks, I do get the "Up Ahead" page now indeed, although there's only one item there, i.e. "Finish", is that normal ?

Having looked it up in the meantime it seems the "Up Ahead" feature with waypoints is in fact not available on the 955, unless the page hasn't been updated : support.garmin.com/.../

I cannot find the Up Ahead screen either....

It is supposed to be available on 955 according to the main selling page of garmin website

Sorry guys for answering so late after the exchange but I just bought the 955! Love it. Especially the up next feature, the training readiness and the stamina.

As for the answer for your question, I played around and found the answer pretty easily! It's because you are taking that feature as the "Around me" feature and it's not. Otherwise, we would have a duplicate feature, right

The Up ahead does not refer to points of interest(POI) as with the Around Me feature, Instead, it refers to course points that you set yourselves when building your routes!

Hello, I get the same error as webvan. Instead of the expected UP AHEAD data screen:

I guess I see the following screen (because if I set Settings -> Navigation -> Data Screens -> Up Ahead to Off, this data screen is not there):

I have the latest fw 15.09 beta.  

I have the Up Ahead enabled (in watch Settings -> Navigation -> Data Screens -> Up Ahead, it is set to On).

I tried the following:

1) Choose GPS activity, like Run or Bike (do not start it) -> long press UP to see menu starting with Run Settings -> select Training below ->  choose Race an Activity -> select Downloaded -> select your course -> Choose Race -> start the activity -> list all data screens

2) Choose GPS activity, like Run or Bike (do not start it) -> long press UP to see menu starting with Run Settings -> select Navigation below ->  select Courses -> select your course -> Choose Do Course -> start the activity -> list all data screens

3) Choose GPS activity, like Run or Bike (do not start it) -> long press UP to see menu starting with Run Settings -> select Navigation below ->  select Saved Locations -> select some location nearby -> Choose Go To -> start the activity -> list all data screens

None of these shows me the correct Up Ahead data screen.

I get 'Up ahead" screen (and everything else that is possible to configure in Settings/Navigation/Data Screens) following this: Choose GPS Activity (Run), long press UP (middle button on left), Navigation, Course and I select the course.

Garmin-Sierra, could you please step in? Some of the users earlier in this thread do observe data screen "Up ahead" missing. I have seen it for sure on fw 13.15 and now on 15.09, and I don't remember seeing it any time earlier.

The screen I am seeing (my screenshot above) is the Compass data screen. So the Compass and Elevation plot data screens work for me, but Up ahead not.

But are you sure you added some course points yourself in your course?

The are the only ones that will show up.
