HRV 24 Hour Stress Score and HRV Status Discrepancy

My 24 Hours Stress Score is almost always around 30( a good reading in my opinion) but my HRV OverNight HRV Status is usually around 30-33( not very good in my opinion). These two stats seem to be contradictory considering they are both Heart Rate Variability measurements. Can anyone explain why this is? Thanks is advance.

Data on HRV and the Stress Score are not exactly the same. HRV is actually a measurement of heart rate variability. But Stress Score is Garmin stress level indicator based at Heart Rate Variability. The higher HRV the lower Stress Score.

It could just mean that you are not having a good sleep? I notice my HRV and stress are poorer if I have heavy meals before sleeping.

Stress is a wider indicator for the 24 hours.

Thanks for your reply. If Im understanding this correctly, Stress Score is Heart Rate Variability plus OTHER data. While, HRV Status is purely HRV data. Any idea, what the OTHER data is?

Thanks for your reply, it could be good sleep. I do sleep much more deeply in the non-summer months.

Stress levels (0–100) are estimated by the Firstbeat Analytics engine, primarily using a combination of HR and HRV data. I think Garmin will answer this question better.

If I'm sick (as I have been the last couple of days) my Stress number goes way up and there is very little or no blue in the graph, and the HRV value goes down a lot (by as much as 50% of my normal values).

had the same experience. been sick for two days now.

1st day my overnight HRV plummeted and my stress during sleep is off the charts (no registered rest during entire sleep).

2nd day is weird. stress reading during sleep is better than the first day. However, HRV reading for that night is completely lost. I had a countdown timer setup for medication. any idea if that has something to do with not having the HRV reading?
