Oh you are right, the quick timer, when not saved, is shown in the Clocks app when active.
But I still don't think the Clocks app is considered legacy by Garmin, because they included an option to add the Clocks app to the quick menu on the 955 but not on the 255. So Garmin thinks that it can be useful and they are using it to differentiate the premium 955 from the 255.
So ultimately I hope Garmin will fix this bug, because I find this app useful and this bug anoying.

It's very well alive and present in the 945, bug free mind you; in the 955 you can assign it to one of the hot-keys.
I am not sure why there's an assumption that it is a legacy piece of software; if it was indeed deemed legacy how could we access the time-zones app without resorting to 3rd party / non-stock apps ? It's an essential part of any watch nowadays ...
