Livetrack during "Resume Later"

Hi,

yesterday I discovered following bug at FW 12.23. I had Livetrack session during my MTB activity. For long pause I suspended activity by "Resume Later" option.
During the pause time, I was recieving alerts on my FR: "Livetrack not connected" every aprox 5 minut.
Normally the "Resume Later" option should also suspend Livetrack session without alerting me. Do I think correctly?

  • clearly a bug. same watch, same issue. FW 13.22.

agree that livetrack is irrelevant while activities are paused via "resume later".

but also why would livetrack be disconnected if my watch and phone remain in proximity and my network conditions have not changed? seems more like someone on the phone app side decided that pausing should be the correct behaviour while someone on the watch firmware side decided it should continue seeking to track and causing this weird discrepancy.

this is an age-old feature so please get your act together, garmin.

  • All,

If anyone is still experiencing this on the latest software (17.26), please respond to the following:

    1. May we, if necessary, have permission to reach you via email?
    2. In which country are you located?
  • I have this behavior on my 945 LTE. You can contact me via email, happy to assist.

I think this behavior is extra problematic on this watch because it keeps LTE running the whole time.
