Audio Prompts Suggestion

Today I made my first Sprint Workout from the Daily Suggestion Workout.

The structure was 16 mins Warm-up followed by 8x 0:10s sprint with 3 mins recovery and then 10 mins of Cooldown.

Well for people like me who have <5% vision accuracy this new features (Workout Prompts) is everything... but I'm writing this post just to give a suggestion for Garmin...

It would be much better if we receive the prompts BEFORE we make the step and not when it starts... In this workout that I made today a (10 seconds interval) when the audio finished the time finished too lol... So my suggestion if:

When the activity starts the first audio would be something like "Warm-up for 15 minutes at a pace between X and Y"

Then 15s BEFORE this steps ends we could receive something like

"Prepare for next step: 10 seconds at a 3:15min/km"

I said 15 seconds before so we could receive all the informations before the 5 seconds beep...

Another suggestion is that when we accept a Structured Workout the watch automatically turn the Auto-Lap off

Anyway I hope that Garmin developers can read this...

I would appreciate other users suggestions

  • hi, do you actually get the audio prompts of the interval that just started - or the interval that just finished?

how do u set it up - as i can only get audio prompt of the lap/interval/  - that just fnished (im on epix - but believe settings are the same through 955/fenix/epix).

    thank you

  • Hi,

On “normal runs” i only receive audio prompts in the end of a lap, but when i am doing Daily Suggested Workouts I receive instructions when the lap starts telling me what to do in that lap/interval…

But as I posted here in a Speed Interval of 15 seconds, for example, when i finished to listen the instructions the interval ends lol…. So my suggestion here was for them was to give us the instruction 15 seconds BEFORE the next step so then we can listen all the instruction and the 5 seconds beep that allow us to know that next step is going to start

In the Base Workout with only one step you will understand what i am sayung, but try a interval training of the Daily Suggested Workout and you will see the instructions… I dont know if you create a workout on GCM you will receive the instructions as i am only doing the Suggested Workouts…
