Backlight issue on 12.23

Same issue on 255 Music 13.21. It also comes on for certain non-activity actions such as sync, pulse ox readings, garmin pay, etc.

I have a 955 on 13.22 and I can also verify this bug.

I have disabled all the backlight activations (wrist turn, buttons etc.) but the backlight keeps turning on when I start an activity.

If you are experiencing this backlight disruption, please check your "Timeout" setting:

Menu > System > Backlight > During Activity > Timeout.

This should be a selection other than "No Timeout".

Hi Garmin-Kevin I just checked and my setting is set to 30 seconds, which not "No Timeout" as you suggest.

This is clearly a bug.

A me invece successo oggi che la retroilluminazione non si accendesse durante le attività di mountain bike con il GESTO, anche se avevo impostato questa funzione durante le attività.
Invece se premevo un tasto o toccavo lo schermo, la retroilluminazione funzionava correttamente.
Qualcun'altro lo ha notato?

Exactly as Aslam pointed out, it shouldn't turn on in the first place and it should be independent of the timeout setting.

I have to say it is incredible how little attention to detail Garmin makes :(

You are right, Garmin has many functions but many don't work well...sigh.
I don't switch to other brands because Garmin has maps and electronic payments, otherwise I would have already switched
