The clock freezes every time I press CONFIGURE MAPS

Do you have any custom maps on the watch? I only noticed this with some specific custom maps

What is the file name of your custom map? It should not be "gmapsupp.img". If it is, rename it.

Do not use Basecamp, copy the file directly to your watch.

This problem is not solved even in the current version 13.22. All your advice is great, but Garmin should finally fix this.

Today I tried again to add my own maps to the watch and see if it would freeze. Unfortunately, the watch keeps freezing. I tried the following. I added maps via Basecamp. This app basically just moved the .img maps into the Garmin directory. The map title had no spaces or punctuation marks. tried two different maps (Freemaps and OpenStreet maps). I looked in the Garmin directory to see if the mentioned gmapsupp.img file is there and no, it is not there. When I manually removed the added custom maps from the directory, the watch did not freeze.

It works for me, no freezing. But still the custom maps handling is not flawless at 955. Sometimes, the LAST added custom map is not displayed in the list of maps under the Configure maps menu.

Thanks, these maps work. But I don't understand why the watch freezes with Freemapy, when I've been using those maps for years in the Edge 530 and Forerunner 945 without problems.
