Selecting a location by holding the start button does trigger to choose an option (street name, land or something else) but selecting one of the options just crashes the watch, in all sports profiles with a map. Does it work for someone?

Hello all,
We have other reports of this and are actively investigating. When we know more or have any updates to share, I'll be posting to this thread. Thank you in advance for your patience with…
All,
Please see our recently released beta software for a fix addressing this report. If you prefer to not install this beta software, we hope to be rolling out a public software update soon, though I…
All,
We have released a fix in the latest (non-beta) software release that should resolve the report for most users experiencing these symptoms. The software release should continue rolling out to all…
Seriously though, I get this is the standard reply in case of issues but this is a pretty straightforward one right? And a common one across all users, can't imagine you'd need any additional info when…
crashes for me on 12.23 as well. I'm already uploading a video and /garmin/ for CIQ crashing so I'll include this as well Garmin-Kevin
Yes, it works if crosshairs covers only one road (i.e. have to zoom in more)so a road list wouldn't be brought up which would crash the watch. Another issue is the route is a straight line instead of following road (in Map mode only).
Edit: If I choose the destination in the map of run mode, it will show the route alone the road instead of straight line.
Thanks, but yeah... It now works. (Somehow didn't notice you simply have to tap the screen to show... Only tried long press).
But I think I might have found a workaround... (posted it a bit earlier too)
Instead of selecting a point on a street for example (you then see a small white block snapping to the street), point the crosshairs just beside the street (might need to zoom in a bit, if the crosshairs partially overlap the street it will select it I think) and then long press start...
You should then get the option to "Go" or save the location, choosing Go will start navigation... This actually kinda seems to work for me. (Though in dense cities this is still tricky because it will often show something general like "Parking Lot" and "City" as options which then will cause a crash selecting one of those.
But yeah, might need some fiddling around finding a proper place for the crosshairs to not result in a selectable list
