Choosing location on map to navigate crashes the watch - fw12.23

crashes for me on 12.23 as well. I'm already uploading a video and /garmin/ for CIQ crashing so I'll include this as well Garmin-Kevin

yes, it does the same crash on my V12.23.

Shocking to see that the bug is still being reported even after Garmin said it fixed:

Weird, I don't even get that option.. simply doesn't do anything for me

Navigate, map, select by touch, long press

All ok

Same for me.... Updated to 12.23 yesterday and immediately tried it. It crashed every time. I get the crossairs, I am able to select a location but when I press start my watch crashes. I got a 955 solar.... 

Also if you select a street to navigate to for example?

When I use map to select a point to navigate to I almost always get a list to choose from such as: <Street name>, <City>

When selecting one of them it reboots the watch.

Once a while ago I either got just a single item or it showed me 'coordinates' to navigate to or something and that seemed toe work. So it seems to be something with the lists. But hey, at least being able to get the crosshairs consistently is something... makes reproducing the crash bug more easy. Sigh.

Hmmm I don't get offered coordinates, just street names or citz and postal code.... If I selsct something from the list the watch is rebooting but the crossairs I get everytime if I tap on the map.... 

Yeah, same here... But I think I might have found a workaround...

Instead of selecting a point on a street for example (you then see a small white block snapping to the street), point the crosshairs just beside the street (might need to zoom in a bit, if the crosshairs partially overlap the street it will select it I think) and then long press start...

You should then get the option to "Go" or save the location, choosing Go will start navigation... This actually kinda seems to work for me. (Though in dense cities this is still tricky because it will often show something general like "Parking Lot" and "City" as options which then will cause a crash selecting one of those.

But yeah, might need some fiddling around finding a proper place for the crosshairs to not result in a selectable list
