I had a 3 hours nap on Tuesday from 3 to 6 pm.
I slept again on Tuesday night.
GC registered my sleep for the afternoon one. Not the night one.
My user setting sleep time is set at night.
Anyone facing similar issue?

It Looks like only 1 sleep period is saved for a day. I Had a nap during the day and the nightsleep vanished. this caused indeed the training readiness went way off.
Can multiple sleep periods for one…
I read a book for 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon and the night sleep disappeared. My sleep score went from 82 to 48, and even entering my sleep start and end times doesn't correct the sleep score.
…I think I've seen the same thing on my FR255.
In the first week after purchase, it did something very weird and actually activated the sleep mode during the day (the screen changed to the sleep watchface…
I have the same problem evident over two 955's. In over six months it hasn't recorded sleep properly and adversely impacted training metrics. I had 'help' from Garmin that didn't and was, frankly, very poor.
I have bought my last Garmin product! I just use it to track training / exercise now. That's all! \Very poor value for money. I'm reviewing what's is out there to replace it.
do you return it to the condition of the previous night? even if you do this manually, the HRV remains that of the afternoon nap and not of the night's sleep. Plus their sleep and stress histories report holes in their histories. I don't understand what's so difficult about having sleep recorded only and exclusively in the set sleep window.
Actually my case is a little complicated. I am a shift worker.
So I need to frequently change the sleep window.
Yes I will edit to the correct sleep within the configured window.
Didn't notice about the HRV. For spo2, it always follows the sleep window.
