Does anybody know if Garmin still split the software in apac/row for this model ?

TL;DR no, they don't. It looks APAC and WW/ROW have the same software now.
Interestingly, the Connect IQ SDK device file for 955 only shows one part number (006-B4024-00) which supports both worldwide…
Was not that easy. Same *** remain, so do NOT buy a apac if you want more than a software upgrade once a year or something like that. And forget about the Betaprogram too.

Strange that they would say that, since there is only one part number for 955 now, as opposed to the separate WW and APAC part numbers for older devices. I'll assume that they know what they're talking…
That's great . I am afraid you have greater concerns when they start roll out Beta software, but i hope i am wrong. I am in Thailand too, and what's hold me back is the answer from support i posted in page 1 in this thread. Up to this point the beta's has been o nly for the ROW models, and the software for APAC have been a release or at best two in a year. Keep my fingers crossed.
Guess that's the case. On previous models the beta's have been only for R.O.W versions. A shame, the best they could hope for was 1 or maybe two updates a year. Put us in a fuc.........ing squeeze, buy locally and live with it, or order from Europe/ U.S.A and "forget" about the warranty. That said,Garmin Singapore replaced a Fenix 5 plus that was ruined by a software update, got a refurbished one from Garmin Thailand. Sold it, and bought my Fenix 6 from Clever training. Think i stick with it to it die by itself. Doesn't really matter so much wich watch you got from Garmin, software is usually useless anyway.
It seems likely that it's only the beta program that is not available to APAC devices, but when the release happens they are included in the same rollout. The APAC 245 had different release versions and was released a few months after the corresponding ROW release.
So hopefully only half as bad as it used to be, I'll let you know when I get 12.23 then we'll get a better understanding of any rollout delay.
Yes i guess you're right. Before the updates always came with a notice in red "Not suitable for apac models". That's gone now, that's a big step forward. And the pro is that other's can do the testing and you receive ( hopefully) a software that is a little better , despite i have my doubts. The Fenix 6 wifi sync in the 2--3 latest beta's (and Alpha)did not work, neverthless they release the new public software with the same error. Amazing Garmin.
