Maps FR 955 vs. Fenix 7

I don t think there is a difference between them (the diference is with the maps functions on the FR but that are software bugs and they will get solved). Anyway you can put any maps you like if you have the files (just search custom maps garmin watch). I recommend the osm maps.

Where you read that? Would kind of nice to put the reference so one could say something about it and check the reference. Don't know about Fenix 7, but my 955 shows the same data as 945. All the data that is on the map file.

Well, yes... But the maps themselves are the same afaik. It's about functionality (and forerunner 955 is indeed lacking there)

Thanks for the replies. Honestly i can't remember the exact source but i think it was one of those youtube comparison videos. There were less details on certain zoom levels for FR955. My take away is that this isn't true and despite some UI differences the maps are identical.

Maybe you are confusing Fenix with Epix, which shows more details, because it has a higher resolotion display.
