Set Zoom Level during navigation

Hi, how can I set the zoom level during navigation, if I set "auto-zoom" as disabled?

I tried holding down the middle-left button, but after setting the right zoom level, I don't know how to save this setting and return to my activity.

    This is one thing. Second, if i have power meter on bike enabled, i have additional clicks to zoom in/ zoom out. Totally stupid design. Give back touch controls from epix garmin!

    Hmmm, I THINK it should stick when you simply exit the zoom-menu right? (So when pressing back).

    Believe I had other issues with auto zoom disabled though so not sure anymore... Might give it a try when I bike home from work if I remember to.

    *Edit* And I agree btw, just make the experience coherent to epix/fenix! What the hell is this crappy implementation...

    Thank Flip. I tried to do "back" ma the zoom level couldn't save.

    I'll try to contact Garmin support.

    I searched in the forum but I found no one that asked something similar.

    Not sure if we're talking about the same but it seems to work here?

    In an activity during navigation in the map screen I long press up, choose pan/zoom, zoom to desired level, press back (end up on the pqn/zoom menu entry again) and press back once more to get back to the activity. Zoom level is then as selected...

    Yes, the zoom level even when auto-zoom is disabled, goes to some bonkers defaults with time. If you quickly check that if you disable auto-zoom and go back to activity it looks like it works and it doesn't revert the zoom level, but just wait, or reboot the watch and it's bonkers again.

    But yes.. long press middle button on map screen, zoom to the level you want and press back/lap, and that zoom level stays during that activity.

    I did it but returning back the zoom setting was lost.
    I'll re-check.

    As you surely know, there are two settings for the autozoom:

    - generic map setting

    - map setting inside trail running activity profile

    No.. I have just "Use Sys. Settings" on and there isn't zoom level setting.

    I disabled auto-zoom from both the setting (general map, trail run map) and now it seems to work:

    - hold down middle left button to access to zoom setting

    - back (bottom right button) to return to map / activity
