Bike power incorrect on FR955

Anyone had any problems with incorrect/low bike power readings on the FR955?

Have had this on 2 different rides so far - have both FR955 and Edge 520+ tracking the ride. Edge reports 177W average power whereas FR says 92W (!!).

Connected to Favero Assioma UNO (single sided) pedals.

Not that they're relevant for single-sided, but looking in Garmin Connect, the stats from the FR955 don't show things like "L/R Torque Effectiveness" whereas the Edge stats do. Weird!

Sounds like that FR is taking 0W to average and Edge is not.

And for some reason, we don't have that setting in 955 at all..

Oh.. Manual mentions: "Power Averaging: Controls whether the watch includes zero values for power data that occur when you are not pedaling."

So maybe there is a setting then.. somewhere.

Thanks! Although, if this was the issue, wouldn't the cadence stats be incorrect too? Both FR and Edge are showing the same cadence.

Hard to say. Depends how cadence is averaged.. I don't see it impossible that the cadence is not counting zero and power is with 955.

And depending on your edge you might have different settings for those.

Eg. 530 has two settings to set:

This is not a problem with the 955, but can also be observed on other Garmin watches. There are two possible solutions:
1. the Uno pedals are not connected to the watch via ANT+, but via Bluetooth. In this case, disconnect the pedals (sensor) and then pair them again. Make sure that you select the ANT+ protocol. To make sure that you do not pair them via Bluetooth, you can also pair the pedals with the Assioma app on your mobile phone BEFORE pairing them with the watch. Then the Bluetooth channel is occupied.
2. disconnect the pedals from ALL devices (watch and Edge) and then pair them again. First pair them with the watch and then with the Edge.

Great - thanks for that! I noticed that the pedals seemed to be connected to the Forerunner twice (well, I removed the power sensor, then found there was another connected!). So removed both, reconnected and checked that it's connected via ANT+ (see About screen).
Will check it out on this evening's ride.
