HRV Status - Sleeping, Long after waking up!

I have noticed that HRV Status on my 955 say “sleeping” for a long time after I wake up and I am wondering if anyone else is seeing the same?

today I woke up at 6:28am, and at 7:50am my 955 still said sleeping for HRV status. My programmed wake-up time in the 955 is 6:30am, so I don’t think that should be impacting this. Today I “ended sleep” on the 955, and then when I look at the “Last Night HRV” graph on the 955, it shows the end time/wake up time of 6:28, so it seems to readjust it.

during the first hour I am up, I am not very active, eating breakfast, reading the news, a few hundred steps, but the 955 gets the wake time right after the fact. It just seems odd to me that it takes so long to automatically change to not sleeping.

  • Do you have Morning Report turned on?

  • No, I do not have morning report turned on.

  • Same here,it happens to me twice this week and mess with all my sleep data, when i try to revert manually the score for my sleep is lower. Garmin should leave this with his beta testers for more a couple of months, its completely bugged, most of core features present problems. Don't understand why they rush the launch. Already mailed Garmin support here where I live asking if they gonna fix this soon or is better get a refund. 550 euros for a watch and most of core features are completely inaccurate because of this bugs. Sleep, HR zones, navigation, touch screen, training status and the list goes on

  • Viewing your Morning Report seems to trigger "end of sleep" processing. Turn it on and see what happens.

  • Thanks, may try that. I can also end sleep just by selecting HRV status and then end sleep. I just thought that it should detect it on its own, a lot sooner than it does.

I had Morning Report turned on when I first got the 955 but I was having issues with the report showing up when I was trying check the time while still laying in bed.  Perhaps there is some way to change that behaviour

  • It seems to show the Morning Report starting from approximately the "Wake Time" you've set in the Sleep Settings in your User Settings.
