Watch face & clock hands

Hi,

I like the custom watch face of the 955, except the clock hands. Is there a possibility to remove them? I can‘t change that in the settings.

  • No. It's the stupid hands or nothing. I changed to the plain watchface that I had with 935/945, you can even disable seconds on that! Unfortunately it doesn't have the activity/day bars, but not really much missing them.

  • There's a ton of faces in ConnectIQ - I just use one of those as it has all the information I need at a glance.

  • Agree, I've gone for 'rails' has everything I need White check mark

  • i agree that there are many excellent ConnectIQ watch faces out there. many of them are very efficient on the battery and provide much more functionality than the default garmin faces.

that being said, it's frustrating that 1. none of the watch faces that come with the watch have the functionality of going from the data field to the glance like they do on the Fenix7/Epix2. 2. Garmin hasn't yet allowed developers this capability for CIQ watch faces.

  • Am I possibly the only person here who actually prefers the default stock watch face on the 955?

  • Probably not, but let me explain more why I don't use/like it. My biggest problems with it is the hands and then the digital clock is just the outlines. Requires more light/backlight to be read compared the one with filled digital clock time numbers. I've been using the one that was from 935(?), it has small changes in the history, like in 945 -> 955, it got option to disable seconds, but the activity/daylight(?) bars were removed. But it can be read in low light without backlight that is nice thing.

  • Which one can seconds be disabled?

  • The one that looks like the old basic watch face. From the factory ones the seventh one..

    It's just like:

    Upper-Icon-Bar
    Time
    Dataslot1 Dataslot2

  • It's crazy to me that Garmin doesn't allow more options on their built in watch faces! Especially something like turning off the clock hands! It's so frustrating because the Connection IQ faces don't have access to all of the same data that the built in faces have access to (like the 7 day load). And they really should give ALL of the faces access to more data like past 7 day run, swim, and bike totals.
