Anyone got an answer from Garmin about the half-baked touch interface on the 955?

i'm hoping that they aren't purposefully leaving off certain features like double tap to Zoom in maps.

moreover, it would be nice if one could tap on "data fields" on watch faces to go to glances like they do on the Fenix7/Epix2. i don't think it's possible yet with CIQ watch faces (i hope that it's possible at some point), but i'm surprised we don't get such functionality with the built in faces on the 955.

I think we got some stable firmware on yearly autumn. Before ironman World Championship. UK support told me yesterday they dont have a date for it yet.

Good questions... DF tapping from WF also works on the Venu series...

Hopefully the next release will be available soon - I don't like the map function showing the entire screen in blue (and some other bugs as well)...

... would be logical to put the 955 series into the beta program ;-)

Currently, as far as Connect IQ goes, only a watch/device app or widget is allowed to open another app, which also has to be a watch/device app or widget (native or Connect IQ). And the user is prompted to confirm opening the second app, which wouldn't exactly be a smooth user experience in this use case.
