Elevation and Navigation fields on Ultra activity

I discovered I can't add any Elevation data fields to a screen on the Ultra activity profile.

Is this a bug or a feature? Am I missing something?

Specifically I would like the simple Elevation field to easily see my current elevation.

I know you can get similar data by using Climbpro, but I would need a course set and it seems strange that this whole category of data fields seems to be restricted on the Ultra activity type (considering elevation is very relevant in mountainous trail ultras).

Thats interesting. What difference is there in Just Copying (say RUN Activity) and renaming it to Ultra as an example or are there other specific items related the pre set up Ultra Run that can't be customised from say the RUN activity setup?

I believe the main difference is the ability on the Ultra activity type to use the lap button to record "rest stops" e.g. time spent at aid stations.

I got elevation fields on my 945 but not my 955. Maybe a bug ?

In my opinion this is bug. All Elevation fields section is missing in Ultra Run. It's wired especially when you look at the default screen (2nd one) there is one filed "Total Ascent". If you remove it you cannot add it again. Eghrrr...
I have this wtach since 2 days and I never have so buggy software from Garmin. Many many small and bigger issues I found without any effort :/

Does it still record elevation values to view on garmin connect ? I have an ultra this weekend and might have to return to the 945 for it

Beta 12.25 and the fields are still missing.

Are you missing Elevation and Navigation data field options? YES

We had already been in contact on this case and I had already sent data. Nothing has changed since then! Neither in GCM nor in the watch itself.
