Can Gesture be turned off during sleep?

I tried sleeping with my 955 for the first time last night, but was a bit annoyed by the Gesture turning the display on whenever I turned over.  I had a look in the settings, but "Gesture" isn't one of the backlight options for the "During Sleep" option.

Is there any way of making my sleep a bit more peaceful?

  • FWIW, I checked mine last night and the "gesture" movement did not make the light come on during the "sleep time".  I've only found a way to set sleep time when in the initial pairing of the device , is there a setting elsewhere to change this ? I did select No notifications during that time during the initial pairing setup.

  • Yeah, I wore mine last night and the backlight didn't come on, so all was fine until morning.  I have no idea why it was "gesturing" on the first night, but not on the second.  It's possible that something I did during the day proved to sync that setting across.

  • Sleep hours should be in the User Profile/Settings in your Garmin Connect app on your phone or on the web. you also need to make sure you set the watch to Do Not Disturb during your sleep hours.

  • Interesting. I would like to have this feature enabled while I sleep, but it seems, that during the sleeping hours the "gesture" is disabled. Basically it is the only time when I really need this feature, as I dont want to press buttons in the middle of the night to see the time.

@Garmin: Is it possible to enable it?
