Quick release bike mount

Any thoughts on why no quick release bike mount for 955? I use the mount for my 935 all the time but it’s not compatible with 955. Bit of a dealbreaker for upgrading for me.

I use the mount from my 935. Once in place, lifting the top tab locks it in place. So far, so good. The buttons are a bit blocked by the lower edge due to the smaller watch diameter.

Still working for me as described above. I accidentally lost the mount and bought a replacement - fit was identical (a little tight). Neither ever lost the watch, and held up through hundreds of hours…

Same result here, was a bit worried at first, but haven’t had any issues, don’t worry about it any more (all on road)

Good question, they never made one for the 945 LTE and the QuickSnap for the Fenix wasn't compatible with the 945 or 945 LTE...and not very convenient anyway since you had to put store the strap somewhere while using it on your bike.

What's wrong with the 935 one? I looked the one with my 945 bundle and it seems like it would work with 945, but as I don't have QuickFit straps didn't want to start removing the straps to really test it.

I have never used it with my 935. I'm guessing it snapped in place - you do miss this, but it has survived 10 hours on the road bike so far. I'm thinking it will be fine on the MTB when I get to it. The release seems to be locked in pretty well. I'd recommend giving it a shot. If anything, it will be usable secondary if they release an officially compatible mount.

Well the 955 is a bit smaller so it's not a given, based on the post below it seems OKish

Well it's not given, that's the reason I asked what was wrong with it as I did compare my 955 to the kit I have and it seemed that it would work and the strap pins would be in right place to be locked to it.

I asked because Garmin told me that it wasn’t compatible with 955 and that they had no plans to release one that was. Based on what you’ve said I may take a risk. You’re right that the 935 snaps in very securely

In case I misunderstood, are you confirming that the 935 setup is rock solid, or the 955 in 935 mount is solid? Depending on the answer, I may be about to spend some cash!

Your mileage may vary but I have the same experience as Tim - the 955 works in the 935 mount. You have to lift the tab to make it click in place, but then it's rock solid.
