Software updates

Does anyone know if we going to get an software update soon to solve all the bug and issues this watch have? Garmin don't says nothing about and I'm thinking about returning the watch and get my money back, maybe in the future this goes to be a good watch,but a this moment is trash

Very few brand new devices or products are perfect on first release. There’s always something that could be improved and there’s always something that someone won’t like.

I like the 955 so far, the issues are "irritants" more than making it unusable - well for my use case anyway.

What field? The newest update doesn't update CIQ so can't imagine that fixing anything... (actually, it hardly seems to fix anything at all)

But Garmin Express (or connect mobile app) are the ways for official releases, the rollout is only at 50% though so good chance it's not available for you yet.

Thanks for your prompt reply. The watch was only connected to my phone, not WiFi. Since connecting to WiFi it has updated and the data field works. It's the Stryd one. Thanks!

I believe you have to go to Garmin Devices -> Forerunner 955 (or what ever you named your device) -> System -> Software Update using the Garmin Connect and install the software from there. ( It should be already downloaded)

I had the same issue; the new updates didn't run on their own. I am now at 11.12.

You also can check if you have a firmware on the Garmin website under the "Devices & Sync Status"

What are these terrible bugs? Had my 955 for about a month now, can't say I experienced anything bad so far..

"Works on my machine" does not mean that there are no bugs. Read the forums. Or if you don't use a feature that bugs, does not mean that the bug does not exists.

It will slowly download to the watch after your next sync. You'll then see an update available notification with the options of installing now or installing later.
