Button color non-solar vs solar - classy vs tacky?

I like the grey/metal colored buttons on my 945. What I can see in product pictures, the 955 solar have the same buttons grey buttons as the old 945 and the 955 non-solar have shiny / silver metal buttons (which in my opinion look tacky) .

Can anyone confirm?

I have non-solar. I can't say that I'm too upset by the colour of the buttons.

Probably just personal taste. I'm coming from the 935 (which has shiny buttons) and was disappointed that my new 955 solar has grey buttons

I believe the start button is always opposite the rest, so if you're upset about the shiny buttons on the 955 non-solar, you at least get one grey button!

Can you verify the buttons are "shiny"? In some pictures its difficult to see.

Ps beauty is in the eye of the beholder:)

I would say they're "brushed steel". Not bling shiny - it's more of a matt metallic look. The "start" button is a bit more shiny.

Funny you mention this. I had a Whitestone 945LTE and it had black buttons. The 955 (non solar) Whitestone has the silver ones and a silver buckle. I much preferred the black ones on the 945LTE. One adapts over time I guess..
